All Families, All Children Invited to Baptism

Why we’re making baptism more convenient for your family

“Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”

We are called as a church to baptize all the children whose parents are seeking to enter their children into our parish. We welcome all children and all families who want to raise their children in the Catholic faith and in an effort to accommodate the many families in our community, we are proud to present our new baptism registration process.

Our new process is already in effect! If you have been planning on baptising your child, we ask you to visit our website or go directly to the baptism page at www.gscparish.com/baptism.

Once there, you will be able to read more about the rite and guidelines for godparents. If you are ready to begin the process, click the “register for baptism” and from the comfort of your home or office, you will be able to register for baptism, register with the parish, submit your child’s required paperwork, request your child’s baptism date and pay the baptism fee.

We realize for many parents of young children (this baptism process is for children 7 years or younger) it is difficult to make time around work schedules, and childcare schedules to visit our office to register or attend preparation classes. So registration can be done completely online and over the phone and preparation classes are now being done on the day of the baptism.

How easy is that?

Register online at your convenience, then on the day of the baptism, all parents and godparents will receive a preparation class about the rite and responsibilities just before the baptism takes place. You will also be able to take home your child’s baptism certificate and other important information about our parish and your family’s faith formation right after the mass.

We hope these changes will encourage more families to choose Good Shepherd Catholic Parish as the place where they will begin their child’s faith formation.

For more information or to begin the process, please visit us online at www.gscparish.org.
